RANDOM.

I wore a pretty risque outfit today. And that is exactly the reason why I changed in to something different for the evening.

This is what I wore during the day:

sutherland blouse, thrifted see through top, brandless top worn as skirt, H&M leggings, etro shoes, earring from german artmarket.

Sorry for the messy room, but I just love making a mess of things. And I'm sure you all love to see my underwear drawer.

As I said I wore something different for the evening. That was because we had a kinda formal thing. Me and some friends raised money for Duchenne Heroes and that's what the evening was dedicated to. I thought see through just wasn't an option.

Here's what I wore:

H&M top, H&M flower, H&M legging, DIY shoes.

That girl you see is Simone. We've been friends since she's lived in Holland. Our parents know each other and that's how we met. We went to the same kindergarten, the same primary school, same high school.

On to something completely different. Did you know I used to have spanish as a subject at school? Well, it's been almost 3 years ago and I still regret not having it anymore.
The reason I brought this up is because I was watching "De spaanse droom" (The Spanish dream) yesterday. It's a dutch show in which 6 couples compete to win a bed&breakfast in Spain. They have to work together to renovate the old building. Anyway, I saw them all struggling with the spanish (well, all of them except for one or two couples) and I couldn't help but get this thought: "If you want to have a B&B in spain, and you've wanted it for a few years already, then why the hell didn't you take spanish class?"

That night I read some of my old spanish readers and decided I should study it again.

THANKS, SOFIE

Sofie from modediktat sent me the most gorgeous shoes ever, as I already mentioned in my last post. They're from Etro SS08.
I'm struggling coming up with something to sent back. I decided to sent a package with all sorts of little gifts, so there would be at least one thing she'd like. I already thought of some things, but that's supposed to remain a surprise.
Without further ado I present to you, the shoes and the way I wore it:
H&M top, H&M flower, H&M legging, Etro shoes.

Thank you so much again, Sofie! I hope to send the package by the end of the week.

BACK AGAIN.

Just a little post to say that I'm back, to show you some photos and tell you that I had a great time!

Tom wearing the jeans we costumized. Ofcourse we made it as ugly as we could :)

Eating a delicious sandwich.

My blinged shoes.

Best photo ever. Period.

I've got no idea who the guy is.

Recycling.

Chickies.

Groupshot.

My friend with his fans.

Watching Snoop Dogg in the sun.

I admit I look like some sort of idiot. But that is because I wrapped my shirt around my head so I wouldn't get a heatstroke or anything.

Snoop Dogg.

That's just a small part of the photos we took. We had a great time. The best performance would have been Lily Allen. I seriously didn't expect her to be so good. But she really got the crowd going after a few songs. And she could stand on her two feet.

Last, but definately not least, go show Sofie from Modediktat some loving. She sent me the most gorgeous shoes ever. I'll post a photo tomorrow!

Adios.

LOWLANDS.

Holysmokes. I'm packing for Lowlands. I feel like I'm forgetting everything and I've got to go to work in 30 minutes.
Maybe I'll photograph the outfits I'm taking with me tonight, depends on how much time I've got left.

Bye Bye!

P.s. Lowlands is a festival in the Netherlands. And it's going to be hoottttt.
P.p.s. All this stress is caused by the fact that I will leave for lowlands tomorrow at 9 AM. And since I have to work till 6 PM today that means that the stores will be closed.

FLSHT.

Have been busy staying at a friends place for the last two days or so.
made some photos of a friend today. Like this one best:

Hoping to do something creative tomorrow.

P.s. The title is the sound my brain makes. You know, like the slimey poo stuff you had as a kid?

BACK FROM BERLIN.

Sorry in advance for the next line, since it might be too much information.

Our trip started out shitty (quite literally, unfortunately), because I got sick. That's why we got a delay of a few hours. And that's also why we only had two days in Berlin in stead of 2 and a half (and yes, that makes a difference!).
I remained kinda sick during our entire stay (never been good at planning things like that).

Now, on to the photos:

I won't be able to tell you much about the photos, because I always forget what the hell it is.

Now this I know! It was a monument for the lost soldier and someone who died in the camps. Or well, it actually is a remembrance monument, but my dad said they burried a soldier and someone from the camps there. I don't know if they really burried them there, but it sounds good, right?

The view from the Fernsehen Turm. My dad and I had ice cream there.

The only picture of me and my dad together. You can see my desert. Way too big. So my dad had to help after he had his desert.

This is the only photo that kinda shows my outfit. We were at the opening of the U55, btw, if you wanted to know. I was wearing a top up side down as a tubetop, and H&M trousers, the bag is from the wereldwinkel (worldstore) and the sunglasses from Hema.

Too bad I didn't take as many photos as I'd hoped, but it's better than no photos at all.
On our way back we helped some hitchhikers from Sweden. They were very nice. Too bad I didn't take a photo of them.

BERLIN.

I'm off to Berlin tomorrow. I'm kind of looking forward to it. Me and my dad decidied to have a litttle quality time. We'll be back at monday. I hope to take lots of photos.

tops unknown, H&M trousers, vintage shoes.

See you later!

BELATED BIRTHDAYPARTY.

I threw a (very) belated birthday party yesterday. My birthday was may 25th, but who cares. Better late than never, right?
So, without further ado, here are the pictures:

Maud & Stephan.

I'm such a poser. And I don't even like beer! (It wasn't mine, btw, but I had to hold a bottle of beer because my thing said "It's my birthday, give me beer")

Very scary spider.

Thijs & Ilse

The notorious party animals

Britt. Listen to this:

I know, best singer ever right?

Me and the notorious party animals. And the gross cocos drink. We all hate it, but it's tradition. So what are you gonna do about it?

This photo is also know as "the before".

This would be the after. I told you it was gross!

Me and Britt as siamese twins.

I'm so sorry for the photo overkill!

Oh, one thing I'd like to say is that your legally allowed to drink when you're 16 in the Netherlands. So, we're no cory Kennedy or anything.

BAREFOOTIN'

Before you start reading this post, please hit play:

It's very important that you can feel the vibe. I like walking around barefeet, and I know it looks ridiculous sometimes, so be it.

tops unknown, scarf/vest was a gift, dad bought it at a craftfair.
This was just casual. Honestly, I didn't really bother dressing nicely because I had to change anyway because I had to work at 7PM. And because I didn't really leave the house, only to do some groceries for my very belated birthday party. I wore the vest with a belt outside, so it looked more like a dress.
Have I ever told you that I really like versatile things?
So long for now.
Arrividecci.

FEELING SKETCHY.

I still have to change the colors of the left one, but it is inspired on Schiele's 'prozession'. It's patchworky, prefarably in seethrough fabric. I'm thinking about just dyeing tights and use those.

The centered and right sketch are actually the same dress, but at the right worn upside down. (I still have to figure out something about the gap you'll have between your legs. Maybe really sparkly, sequined biker shorts or something?)

The left and right sketch were inspired on Edgar Degas' 'woman at her toilette'. The right one is what you get when you wear the strings as a halter.

The centered one is inspired by 'Senecio' from Paul Klee. As you can see, I haven't finished that one, but that's because I'm not happy with what I've got so far.

Here's a better photo of the sketches based on Jackson Pollocks 'Lavender mist: number one'.

The left sketch is based on Frida Kahlo's 'the broken column' (alias 'la columna rota').

I really like the Pollock sketches and the Degas sketches I showed you before.

3.32 AM

H&M body, Vero Moda jeans, grandpa's hat, vintage shoes, very old bracelet.
This is what I wore for work, minus the hat. It really shows my pear shape. I always think it's not all that bad, until I look at photos of me. That's when I realise that it is bad, actually. Jeans are always too tight around my ass/tighs and too wide around my waist, causing some sort of skinny baggy effect. But well, I have to wear jeans for work, so you better work what ya got, right?

I changed these shoes for booties, and glad I did because it was cold outside! Even near the fire, it was still cold.

Here's a close up of the bracelet. I got it as a gift when I was a kid. I love that the white beads got flowers on them.

P.s. Thank you all so very much for the lovely feedback on my sketches! It really means a lot to me.

P.p.s. Yes it really was 3:32 AM when I wrote this.
